And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 NKJV We live in a broken world where many scoff at any mention of God. There are much suffering and many people experience want. This happens while many flaunt their wealth with not a care in the world. Persons suffering and in need express their frustration wondering if there could really be a God if some basks in wealth while others wallow in want. Then there are those persons who totally dismisses the concept of a God they cannot see.
Things are not always what they seem. Because we can’t see God does not mean He doesn’t exist. There are many things we take for granted that are integral to our lives that we cannot see – oxygen, electricity, Wi-Fi – to name a few. Jesus left His home in glory to dwell amongst human about 2 000 years ago. He went through all the stages of human development up to age thirty-three and was then crucified. Jesus understands our pain and our wants as He knows what it is like to be human. Our God is not an unfeeling figure made from human hands. He is a Spirit who has lived as a human being. He is all knowing, knows our needs before we are aware of them and makes provisions for them way ahead of time. Our needs may have increased or intensified in recent times but my God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is near and awaiting your call. Tell Him your cares, wants, needs – all the situations that are causing you to worry. Jesus has promised that whatsoever you ask the Father in His Name will be given to you. God is faithful and will honour your requests. He is the source of all that exist making the universe from nothing. He can handle your requirements. The devil comes to steal that which Jesus has assured us of. He is a liar. Jesus has already defeated him. Don’t let him steal your joy. Jesus provides your needs – call on Him today.
