Isolated But Not Alone

4/2/2020

In these times of COVID-19, when many of us are forced to live in isolation, it may seem as if you are alone but rest assured you are not. Our God is ever present interacting with those of us who take the time to seek His companionship and is hovering near all others longing to be invited to be a part of their lives.
If you are in a close relationship with God you know how much He cares for you and that He has already proven this through Jesus’ death on the cross and the many ways He meets your needs and interacts on a personal level with you.
If you are fearful of the future, I invite you to give your fear to God. He has promised never to leave us and that He will be with us to the end of time. He loves us unconditionally and when we invite Him to be involved in our lives, we are given a new status – children of God – and His Holy Spirit moves into our hearts. From this vantage point He guides, protects, provides for and comforts us.
Jesus defeated fear by His death on the cross giving us, God’s family, victory over fear. Stand in the knowledge that as a child of God:
  1. Fear must submit to you. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV)
  2. The Holy Spirit of God lives in your heart. Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16 NKJV)
  3. God is always present and has promised never to leave you. “and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20b NKJV)
  4. God is near waiting for your call and you do not need an intermediary to speak to Him. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. (Psalm 145:18 NKJV)
  5. God interacts with us on a personal level. We can have a conversation with Him. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. (John 16:13 NKJV)
Do not allow COVID-19 to remove your joy and peace of mind, give your cares to God. Enjoy the companionship of the Most High God, your Creator. He knows exactly what you need at this time.

I am a believer but have to admit, I really struggling with this pandemic. So much death, and moreso people dying alone. It's very saddening. Ultimately it's all in God's hands. I just have to continue to remember that. To cling to it. Not always easy.

Lisa it is not easy at all. Last December I asked the Lord to help me with my struggle with fear. I had no idea what He was preparing me for. I am learning to put all my fears in His hands knowing that whatever happens He will be with me. I am not fully cured but I am learning to rest in His care. The sadness of all that comes with COVID-19 is overwhelming but God is in control. We just have to continue to trust Him.
